Well, the clever local gals/design team of Calpurnia Peach have one-upped those authorities by screen-printing charming motifs on colorful tights. There are little birds on rust tights and snowflakes on navy.
The tattoo-like designs generally hit near the ankle, so they don't get too distorted when stretched.
The result? Terribly charming haute hosiery -- art you can wear on your legs.
