Dear Reader,
We're writing to you before Valentine's Day to tell you how much we love you. Seriously! If we had all of your addresses, we might even send you a hand-written note.
Our affair with the old-fashioned form of communication has been rekindled of late thanks to Stationary Saturdays at Lunalux.
The charming shop, right near Lurcat and Joe's Garage on Loring Park, hosts the occasional (once a month or so) stationary party. Studio owner Jenni Undis fixes up the Vandercook press, which is usually used for proofs, with one fantastically chic design. Then, you are invited to customize with your own monikers as you wish.
All this for a fraction of what letterpress stationary would cost you. This weekend's design (pictured!) is just what Romeo or Juliet ordered. You may have to wait a few minutes and enjoy some coffee, but you might be able to crank the press yourself.
See past designs here. We'll be there this weekend because we only have one card left from the December event...and a lot more love letters to pen.
