Our very own Midwest town being acknowledged by a national high fashion magazine definitely makes for a moment worth celebrating.

Mawi, a London-based line, boasts eye-catching jewelry pieces that you can't help but love. We were particularly enthralled with the midnight blue set, which included sapphire-like clip-on earrings (not like your grandma's) with a hanging chain of deep blue pearls ($276) and a notice-me bracelet inset with a swirl of clear Swarovski crystals surrounding a deep blue gem and an egg-sized imitation diamond set in a tear-drop of gold-plated chain ($552).

If splurging on an uber-trendy Mawi piece feels like a stretch right now, fear not. Look to another Belle Reve jewelry line, Alex & Chloe, with inventive pieces at much more affordable prices. Their cheeky acrylic pieces include the "Bleeding Paris" necklace ($58), a highlighter pink cassette tape necklace ($58), and a giant "diamond" brooch ($69).

Belle Reve translates to "beautiful dream" and was the (destroyed) ancestral home from "A Street Car Named Desire." Just as Stella and Blanche remembered Belle Reve fondly, the Minneapolis incarnation is a happy place filled with sparkly trinkets and cool clothes for us all to enjoy.
