Wait -- was St. Patrick's Day yesterday? Did we miss it? Whoops.
Kidding! We're going the other kind of green today, made easier by the newly launched Olive&Myrtle.
It's an e-commerce website, created by former Target art director and current St. Paul resident Aaron Porvaznik. In the products and the presentation, he has merged his passions for sustainability and design.
The clever name? He wants you to interpret for yourself: two hip grandmothers or a nod to shrubs and trees or shades of green. Aaron remembers having olive green and myrtle green crayons as a kid.
Shopping on the site, you'll find a wide selection of Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day (made in MN, of course), hemp accent pillows, organic cotton towels and toys and bamboo kitchen utensils. These medium bowls ($17 each) by Bambu show you don't have to sacrifice color to be green.
It seems that it is easy being olive or myrtle or forest or pine or fern or sea.
