You've had a rough day at the office. Uh, we hear you on that one! Time to bake some cookies. However, making three dozen, even if you intend to bring leftovers to your co-workers (who share your woe), is a risky undertaking.
The Upper Crust Fine Food Company is here to help. Kim Dirr of Minneapolis started her company in 2003 in her kitchen. The products include (MaryAnn or) Ginger Cookie Dough, (More Monkey Business) Banana Bread and (Rise and Bake at Home) Croissants. Many use better-than-the-usual ingredients, like whole grain oat flower and whole wheat pastry flour.
Her frozen cookie dough is already split into perfect little oven-ready pucks, so bake as many or as few of the two and half dozen dough balls that you wish.
Try the "Totally Awesome Peanut Butter Blossom Cookie Dough." You bake the rich peanut butter cookies for 8 to 10 minutes. When you pull them out of the oven, you gently press a chocolate disc into the middles for a reverse Reese's effect.
Which means you can bake love.
Not war.
