Cotton may be the fabric of our lives, but you can't make a fence out of it. Wool is warm, but don't try feeding it to a panda.

Which brings us to our point (and, yes, we do have one): Bamboo is the best thing ever.

Wear your admiration for the miracle material on your sleeve with the made-in-Minnesota line of bamboo clothing from Naturally Bamboo. There are casual loungey items and this simple dress with the flattering twist at the bustline. Each piece is 64 percent bamboo, 28 percent organic cotton and 8 percent Spandex. The fabric that's super-soft and form-fitting (we felt it yesterday at the Living Green Expo), and is machine washable and totally breathable.

And since bamboo is one of the most sustainable natural fibers (it can grow up to three feet overnight--we've seen it!), you're being extra ecofriendly when you wear it.

Which is more than you can say about that polyester sandwich you're eating.

Dress, $68 from Naturally Bamboo, www.naturallybambooclothing.com.
