But that may change, thanks to Shoppe Local. Brought to you by the folks behind Patina, the store features all products made by Minnesota companies.

Stocked with some of our favorite lines -- Russell + Hazel, Foat Designs, Minnetonka Moccasin, Golden Fig, J.R. Watkins, Natalie Lucas, Christopher Straub, Nordic Ware and Ames Honey (and Honeycrisp apples!).

It's part-market and part-boutique with snacks (Funky Chunky and Thomasina's Cashew Brittle) to clothes (Calpurnia Peach). And, of course, tons of jewelry and winter accessories.

Added to the pretty unique mix are local CDs. Plus, last-minute gift givers will appreciate that they're open until 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Even if it doesn't put the Twin Cities on the map, this shop should definitely be on yours.
