Most of the time, it's better to get things straight from the source. Whether it's spring water, handbags, or gossip, if something's changed hands too many times, it's hard to know when you're getting the real thing.
Which is why it's easy to love the Winter Market at Local D'lish. Owner Ann Yin and Stefan Meyer work with the people behind the Mill City Farmers Market to bring the event indoors.
While the store carries local foods every day, for the market, the display tables are pushed aside and all of the vendors set up stations, just like the outdoor, warm-weather shopping experience (minus the sandals). Mingle, sample and scoop up fresh ingredients and goodies, including cheese from Shepherd's Way, cupcakes from Sweets Bakeshop, Bliss Granola, Salsa Lady and many more (including as much fresh local produce they can find in January).
You'll be really happy to reveal this source.
