Saint Paulite Katie Novotny, learned her trade at the "Food Network college." The self-taught baker was open in downtown St. Paul from 2006 through April 2009 and has now reopened in another corner of St. Paul.

Fans will be relieved for the return of the 17 varieties of thick, chewy and classically tasty cookies -- peanut butter, ginger, snickerdoodles and chocolate chip. Plus muffins and Peace Coffee. Coming soon: Cupcakes, decorated cookies and more. The cozy, red-trimmed shop features art found through a Twitter follower.

Stop by now for the first bite and come back on Feb. 6 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) for a grand opening feast.
