If you've found the big box wedding fairs to be too cookie-cutter for your one-of-a-kind style, you'll be excited to check out the first ever Independent Wedding Fair

This Saturday, the event is being produced by the newly formed Independent Wedding Association. The idea came to photographer Becca Dilley (the photo here is hers too) because she didn't feel that the other fairs were quite right for her. So she gathered her fellow business owners, including Studio Laguna Photography, Chowgirls, Just Bloomed, Liebling Designs, Knit-n-Jules, Le'Event Bridale Consulting and The Traveling Photo Booth, to name a few. There will be panels and door prizes throughout the day.

Because every girl deserves to wear white and have her dream celebration.

Independent Wedding Fair, Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., $10 in advance (until 8 p.m. tonight) and $15 at the door, FIVE Event Center, 2917 Bryant Av S, Mpls, 612-827-5555.
