A spoonful of sugar? Really?
Sorry, but we think it takes at least a half a cup, plus a pat (or four) of butter and a lot of chocolate.
And then it's got to be wrapped up in a package from Cocoa & Fig. The farmers' market favorite has (finally!) opened up an adorable retail space at Gaviidae. So now skyway strollers can pick up a light and delicious cream cheese brioche for breakfast, a bite-sized ultra rich chocolate bouchon for an afternoon snack and cupcakes and cake lollipops to take home for bedtime snacks.
Laurie Pyle is the baker behind the beautiful treats. She attended the Culinary Institute of America (twice!), interned under Sara Foster of Fosters Market in North Carolina and worked as a pastry chef for Thomas Keller.
She and her partner Joe Lin have opened shop together.
As for the aforementioned signature bouchons, they are the richest chocolate bites you may ever eat.
Take two before swallowing whatever life throws your way.
And it'll all go down in a most delightful way.
