Not all glasses are half empty.

Take the ones at your last party. Some overflowed, a few were stolen, and the rest left white circles all over great grandma's maple coffee table.

Next time, add Giraffe Art + Utility's coasters to the supply list. Each set of four tumbled marble tiles comes with fun, kitschy designs: There are options inspired by Scrabble, the (very popular) Dead Rappers, Wrestlers and more subtle decorative patterns. There's even a collaboration with local artist Adam Turman.

Local artist Brooke Tousignant started making them five years ago using modge podge. A better technique and better tiles have given her a real following. In addition to coasters, she makes heavy duty magnets and trivets. They are all customizable with your own images (plan ahead for Mother's Day!).

It's in your best interest not to fear generous pours, because your cup is about to runneth over.

Giraffe Art + Utility, available online, I Like You (501 1st Av NE, Mpls, 612-208-0249?) and SaraCura (1411 SE 4th St, Mpls, 612-253-7272).
