Know why they call them "empty calories"?

Because a sweet tooth like yours can never seem to get its fill.

That's why Franklin Street Bakery with its cupcake kabobs and six cookies for $2.50 is a serious carb danger zone.

Well, now it's our favorite sweet treat spot for a different reason. The new location on 44th and France is serving up vanilla frozen Greek yogurt.

It's fat-free, sweet (but not too sweet), protein-packed and truly refreshing. A small cup is just $2.50 (and if you buy Greek yogurt at the grocery store you know that's a steal). Add blueberries, strawberries and in-house granola for 50 cents each. Wi-fi and outdoor seating are free.

One visit and you'll be hooked.

And never have that empty feeling.

Frozen Greek yogurt, $2.50, available at Franklin Street Bakery, 3904 Sunnyside Rd, Edina.
