Shop sales
We really want to go to Rome, but will settle for 50 to 70 percent off of home furnishings and accessories this weekend during the first ever garage sale at
Roam (Thursday through Saturday, 813 Glenwood Av, Minneapolis, 612-377-6465).
Celebrate chocolate
We've had cocoa on the brain this week, but the new exhibit at the
Minnesota History Center (345 Kellogg Blvd W, St Paul, 651-259-3000) will help you truly appreciate the sweet stuff. Plus the gift shop is packed with locally made treats.
Read all about it
Sure, we have an untouched copy of Jonathan Franzen's "Freedom" calling to us, but we'll be browsing the
2010 Twin Cities Book Festival (Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., MCTC, 1501 Hennepin Av S, Mpls) with Alexander McCall Smith, used book sellers and sing-a-longs (for the kids...and grown-up Glee fans).
Don't forget
Caramelpalooza,
Post- handbag launch and
OPM's Rehab fashion show. Sheesh, it's going to be a busy one.
