This Mitrebox Framing Studio
party (5 to 8 p.m. tonight, Mitrebox Framing Studio, 213 Washington Av N, Mpls) literally has all of our favorite things: Amy Rice's artwork, cerviche, cocktails and cupcakes. AND, it's on a patio.
Fireworks? Eh, over 'em. Hold out for the Ten Second Film Festival at The Soap Factory
(July 4, doors open at 8 p.m. and screening starts after the fireworks, 514 2nd St SE, Mpls). Perfect for those of us with a short attention span, every movie is 10 seconds long. Best spots, DJ and beer will be available pre-screenings.
Calling all you crazies out there! If you've got your own special style (translation: hippie, clown, goth or gaudy), a major cable network wants you! Females, ages 25 and up, can come to an open casting call
. Just bring your photo ID, at least three photos of your sartorial expressiveness to the Mall of America (noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, Executive Centre East, fourth floor, Bloomington, email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions).
