We've got some news: This is not your everyday garden party.
The Arborteum's annual Toast and Taste in the Gardens is totally uncommon.
Next Thursday night, the gorgeously blooming rolling hills of the U of M facility in Chaska (not as far away as it sounds!) will host nearly two dozen local eateries, including Birchwood Cafe, Sopranos, Strip Club, Spoonriver, Cafe Maude and Vincent and a dozen or so local breweries and wineries. You'll get to sample them all as you meander in dreams-come-true vegetation.
Sip a Parlay Lake Winery Frontenac Gris as you eat Birchwood cobbler or down a summit pale ale as you snack on a farm-to-table delicacy from Red Hen Gastrolab. Any combo hits the spot when you're dining under the stars, especially when it's all you can eat and drink.
It will definitely be above average.
Toast and Taste in the Garden, Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m., tickets $75 to $125, Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Dr, Chaska, 952-443-1432.
