An exotic food has arrived in the Twin Cities: . The black and white cookie. Available at the new Rye delicatessen, not even the cashier had heard of them. These sweet delicacies with the gooey frosting offer an impressively authentic interpretation of the East Coast classic. Also, we're calling it: Best bagel and bialy in the state.

Get crafty
No Coast Craft-o-Rama is crowded for a reason: It's awesome. Shop the seventh annual pop-up (3 to 8 p.m., Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Midtown Global Market, Lake St E and Chicago Av S, Mpls) of handcrafted giftables and you'll probably end up with a trinket or two for yourself too.

Shop This sounds like a fun night out. June is hosting a holiday shopping event (6 to 9 p.m., Friday, 3406 Lyndale Av S, Mpls). In addition to the awesome selection of resale, you can shop local lines Shayne & Coco vintage jewelry, Post-leather bags and accessories, and Annie Fink Designs arm warmers. Bubbly and treats will also be available.

More happenings
Jewelry lovers will want to make sure to catch the annual Sequin sample sale with 60 to 80 percent off original prices. Details and other events here. We also recommend the KH Designs style show. It's our favorite of the season and is making its debut in Minneapolis.
