Do you know where your outfit came from? (Hint: We don't mean Ridgedale or the Mall of America.) Welcome to the 21st century of sustainable responsible traceable clothing.

Holy Cow is a new line of cotton tees and hoodies that allows you to enter each product's "tracking number" (found on the tag) into the home page and it will show you on a map where it originated. Our super-soft "recycle love" shirt was made from organic cotton that was grown in Indore, India. (It kind of reminds us of how Cabbage Patch Kids came with birth certificates.)

Founder Justin Barrett, who grew up in Edina, got the idea from Dole bananas, which can be tracked back to the farm. Lucky for him, his family has been in the silk-screening business for years, so putting the rest together was simple. He teamed up with Ray Shan. The two had worked together at HSBC Bank.

The St. Louis Park-based company is launching it's first batch of products in Whole Foods stores this week. You can meet them in person on Sat. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Minneapolis store.

We might stop by to shake their hooves. Cow-a-bunga, dudes!

Holy Cow tees, $29, available at Whole Foods, currently at the St. Paul store (30 Fairview Av. S.) and coming on Sat. to the Minneapolis location (3060 Excelsior Blvd.).
