See
Change is good. Really, really,
really good. In this case, we mean Tony Kushner's
"Caroline, Or Change" at the Guthrie (818 South 2nd St., Mpls., 612-377-2224, $34 to $65 or less if you rush). We wish it would play on-demand indefinitely, but since it won't -- go now. This weirdly poetic chocolate souvenir coin ($3.50) is available at the gift shop.
Shop
Twice a year, jewelry designer
Lonnie Loveness opens her studio (321 South Main St., Stillwater, 2nd floor) to the public for a crazy sample sale -- 50 to 70 percent off retail. That would be this Sat. (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Wait, did you say Mother's Day? We thought that's what we heard!
Eat
Today/tonight, if you eat at any of
these restaurants (almost every locally owned spot), you'll be participating in
Dine Out for Life, which raises money for AIDS service organizations. A percentage of your bill will go to the non-profit. Most delicious donation ever.
