But the store behind the unassuming purple sign, which has been there for 14 years, is a wonderland of stuff. Vases? Check. Clocks? Owner Rick Olinger has stocked a whole wall of them. Greeting cards? Yep -- and they put Hallmark to shame. There's even a couch or two and a ceiling hung with all sorts of interesting twisty, turny lamps.

What really caught our eye, though, were light switch plates. Local mosaic artist Mercedes Austin is bringing funk to décor with vibrantly-colored pieces of glass. Each is hand-glazed and unique just for you. At 20 bucks, they're probably the most inexpensive art you could buy.

That combination will really help you light up a room.
