You got the luck of the gene pool and ended up with a dainty little pair of size 6 feet. Sidle on down to Second Debut, because here's why:
2nd runner-up: Supple purple velvet Coach loafers for $60 (size 6).
1st runner-up: Classic black patent-leather Stuart Weitzman pointy-toed pumps for $48 (size 6).
And the crown goes to: A pair of untouched Prada leather sandal slingbacks in the softest shade of camel for $28 (size 6.5).
A Goodwill/EasterSeals Minnesota franchise, Second Debut is to regular Goodwill stores as Nordstrom is to JC Penney -- great selection but higher name brands, especially when it comes to shoes.
For us average-footed folks, there is still plenty of foot candy: Nine West, Via Spiga and Franco Sartos with nary a heel impression they look so new.
(Side note to jean mongers: In one quick sweep, we spotted a pair of acid-washed 7 For All Mankinds for $45, some size 29 high-waisted dark wash Rich & Skinny's for $38, and an all ready perfectly worn-in pair of Citizens for Humanity for $45.)
We don't know who the woman is that can part ways with Pradas and Sevens in times like these, but we thank her.
Second Debut, 4300 W. 36 1/2 St., 952-922-9640.
Catch the store's fall preview next Thursday (8/6, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.). See ticket and event information here.
