If fresh is your mantra, we've got your new hang out -- Wakame Sushi & Asian Bistro.
We may still be mourning the loss of Three Fish, the location's former occupant, but the sushi at this place will soothe your sorrows.
Sink into an ivory booth and wield your chopsticks (or in our case fingers -- we never could figure those things out) over a Mango Tuna Roll ($8.95). The fresh tuna and mango with tempura bits and creamy mango sauce sprinkled on top are eight pieces of heaven.
The sushi is light, so kick your meal off with an appetizer. We like the Soft Spring Rolls ($4.95) with shrimp, roasted pork, lettuce, and a big kick of cilantro wrapped in soft rice paper and served with a creamy peanut sauce. Or go the extra-fresh route with the Sashimi Sampler ($5.95), which is a delicately decorated platter of slabs of fresh tuna and salmon.
You'll soon be chanting with us -- waaa...kaaa...meee....
