Mondays aren't usually about singing, but we couldn't help ourselves when it comes to The Restaurant Max. In the grandly renovated Midland Bank Building, it's easy to forget you're in Minnesota.

With valet (often complimentary), the spot allows you dash in and out without worrying about the slick sidewalks.

Our favorite menu item is the flatbread (available in multiple varieties) with airy cracker crusts topped liberally with ingredients such as artichokes, fresh tomatoes, green olives and cheese.

It hits a note that's anything but flat.
