Post-New Year's resolutions? There comes a time when everyone considers signing on for an updated version of herself.

But some make-betters turn into whole do-overs. Such is the case with Meritage's Oyster Bar.

After adding 40 seats (up from three), the bar reopened with a cocktail list filled with concoctions that stand alone. The Dragon Rouge adds a wee bit of tangy fire from Campari. Another drink combines Pimm's with lemon and sour cherries.

For snacks, you'll find all the goodies you'd expect at a top-notch raw bar, some creative offerings such as a Tiny Tuna Tartare Taco ($3 each) and French fries that may be the best in town.

And that's a good thing. Because after a few martinis, it's always good to sea food.
