The craft revolution came, saw, and conquered. (Duct-tape wallets, homemade candles, macrame plant holders: Been there, done that.)
But the American Craft Council Show in St. Paul isn't your grandma's crafts fair.
We're talking more than 240 artists with their latest handcrafted jewelry, clothing, furniture, home decor and more. Now in its 25th year in the Twin Cities, the Council even moved headquarters from NY to MN (we are a crafty-loving bunch).
Look for a wide selection of handmade goodies under $100, more than 25 local offerings such as EC Design by Emily Johnson at booth #2309 (pictured), green crafts, demos and $5 after 5 p.m. on Friday with reduced admission and special giveaways.
Thursday (preview benefit), Friday (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). St. Paul RiverCentre, 175 W Kellogg Blvd. $12 day tickets or $20 for a three-day pass, available online, 800-836-3470.
