Your fashion sense falls between L.A. hipster and SoHo chic.
Well, duh, you live in the middle.
Ini Iyamba, arbiter of cool in the Twin Cities, figured out how to bridge the style gap. After closing Ivy and Ivy Men's + Design almost a year ago, Ini has decided to put his brand on the local scene again by launching Capsule.
This unique spin on a capsule collection features high-end local designers who have created affordable special pieces for the project. The first collaborative efforts will be available for 30 days at June (later this month and we'll remind you closer to the date).
Ini approached talent from top local labels, including jewelry by SBG Designs and Stephanie Lake Design (pictured) and handbags by Heidi Comfort based on Kilim rugs. While their usual pieces are quite pricey, most items created for Capsule will be under $100 (some are a wee bit more) and one-of-a-kind. To round off the collection, Ini will curate additional items such as an art book or two, soaps from Minneapolis-based Heavenly Scents and locally designed pillows (with attitude!).
Look for Ini to pop-up at another retail spot with expanded offerings for fall that will include accessories and an apothecary concept.
It's the kind of cool that defies geography.
