Avoid studio vertigo during this weekend's Art-A-Whirl with these suggestions. Unless specified, crawl hours are: Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

Jewelry
You know who/what rocks? The jewelry of Robyne Robinson's Rox studio (5 to 8 p.m. tonight and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, California Building, 2205 California St NE, #403). She'll be there with all of her distinctive creations.

Instant tees
Anthem Heart (Q.arma Building, 1224 Quincy S. NE, #225, Mpls), our favorite local t-shirt visionary, will be live-printing T-shirts live all weekend. Bring your own and it will cost just $5 or buy one there for $15 or 2 for $20.

Sculpture
With gas up in the gazillions of dollars, sculpture fans can save on a trip to the 20-acre sculpture garden in Franconia with the new Satellite Sculpture Park Franconia in the City (Casket Arts Building, 1781 Jefferson St NE, Mpls). At tonight's opening reception, meet artists Amy Toscani, Aaron Dysart, Andrew MacGuffie, and Peyton and chow down on food by Taco Taxi.

One-stop shop
When you're feeling overwhelmed by the Northrup King Building, pop in and visit jewelry designer Karin Jacobson's studio (Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St NE, #288, Mpls). She'll be hosting painter Berry Holz and artist Jeralyn Mohr. Tonight's guests might win tickets to Smack Shack's Lobster Boil (1029 Bar, 1029 Marshall Street NE, Mpls, $25 per person).

Boat party
This one is huge and complicated...and cool. Czeslaw's Loop is an interdisciplinary project that includes sculpture, sound art and interactive performance. It's brought together in a four-act opera about a fictional Polish avant-garde composer who vanished before his opus could be completed. Oh, and it's on a boat (docked behind Sample Room Restaurant, 2124 Marshall St, Mpls). Not up to fighting the crowds? The project will live stream here.
